Lower hulls for five ultra-deepwater rigs, with zero lost-time incidents.
Keppel's Philippine yard entered the offshore fabrication market in 2006 and has since delivered many fabrication projects for Keppel FELS, one of the world's leading offshore rig builders. One of its major achievements was the complete lower hulls for the ENSCO 8500 series of ultra-deepwater semi-submersible rigs, units ENSCO 8500 to 8504, built for ENSCO International.
YSSE was responsible for fabricating and erecting the lower pontoons. The work covered steel fabrication, piping, heavy lifting and on-site erection.
The package was completed on schedule with zero lost-time incidents.
